Sorry to hear about the problem. But it's the reason I refuse to own a firearm with that kind of stock/stock inset. They all do it sooner or later.Let us know, if you will, if you find a solution other than a total stock replacement.
My Finnlights are still good but this is a known issue with all of these soft touch or whatever they call them stocks. When mine get that way, they're going into McMillan Game Scouts.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Hot water and dawn with a scrub brush. Same as silicone phone cases. Those you just throw in top rack of dishwasher.

Dawn dish soap is amazing stuff. Worth a try and after you spread it in let it sit for a few hours or overnight. Good luck!

Bumping this back up in regards to a Browning rifle. The gun is 7 or 8yrs old, I'm the original owner.
I pulled the stock off tonight, acetone wouldn't touch it as far as removing the gumminess.
I'm going to call Browning tomorrow but I have my doubts that they'll do anything about it.
Looks like I can get a factory replacement stock for about $125 but does anyone have a better suggestion for removing the duratouch on the original?
