How to delete Bluetooth device information from a mobile device or computer

Select your device and follow the steps provided below to delete the information of your paired Bluetooth device from your mobile device or computer. Steps may vary depending on your device or operating system. Check the manual supplied with your device or contact the manufacturer for specific information.

Android mobile devices (smartphone, tablet)
iOS mobile devices (iPhone, iPad)
Windows 10 computers
Windows 8.1 computers
Windows 7 computers
Macintosh computers


Android mobile devices (smartphone, tablet)

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the Settings icon.
  3. SelectConnected devices orDevice Connection.
  4. SelectPreviously connected devices orBluetooth.
  5. If theBluetooth function isOFF, turn itON.
    • The mobile device displays a list of saved Bluetooth devices.
  6. Tap theGear (Settings/gear) icon beside the name of the device you want to unpair.
  7. TapFORGET.
    • SelectForget device,if another menu is displayed.

iOS mobile devices (iPhone, iPad)

  1. On the Home screen, tapSettings.
  2. On theSettings menu, tapBluetooth.
  3. If theBluetooth function is set toOFF, turn itON.
    • The mobile device displays a list of saved Bluetooth devices.
  4. Tap the (Info) icon beside the name of the device that you want to unpair.
  5. TapForget this Device.

Windows 10 computers

  1. On theStart menu, click the (Settings/gear) icon.
  2. ClickDevices.
  3. On theDevices menu, clickBluetooth & other devices.
  4. If theBluetooth function is set toOFF, turn itON.
    • Your computer displays a list of saved Bluetooth devices.
  5. Click on the device you want to unpair.
  6. Click onRemove device.

Windows 8.1 computers

  1. From theStart Menu, click the (Settings/gear) icon.
  2. ClickChange PC settings .
  3. On thePC settings menu, clickPC and d evices.
  4. On the PC and d evices menu, clickBluetooth.
  5. If theBluetoothfunction is set toOFF, set it toON.
    • Your computer displays a list of saved Bluetooth devices.
  6. Click the device you want to unpair.
  7. ClickRemove device.

Windows 7 computers

  1. ClickControl Panel.
  2. On theHardware and Sound menu, clickDevices and Printers.
  3. Right-click on the device you want to unpair, then clickRemove device.

Macintosh computers

  1. Click theApple (Apple) icon.
  2. ClickSystem Preferences.
  3. ClickBluetooth.
    • Your computer displays a list of saved Bluetooth devices.
  4. If theBluetooth function is set toOFF, turn itON.
  5. Click on the device you want to unpair.
  6. Click the (Delete) icon beside the device name.
